The Elway Poll of statewide voters also finds that if legislators put the initiative back on the ballot, voters are inclined to pass it again--even if they're asked to approve new taxes to pay for it.
Now that both parties have proposed state budgets, voters in the poll pick their favorite ideas to raise money for education: Redirecting the marijuana tax and taxing bottled water. However, voters don't like the Republican proposal to reject state worker contract negotiations, or the Democratic proposal to increase the Business and Occupation taxes on services.
