Family members have still not heard from Doreen Richmond, 57, and Jim Lane, 56, of Lummi Island who are trekking through Nepal, according to the Bellingham Herald. And there is concern that Jeannie DeBari, who formerly owned a restaurant in the town of Glacier with her husband, Tom, may have been at the Mount Everest Base Camp that was hit by an avalanche, the paper said.

Good news has filtered through to the family of Ballard resident Greg Davenport. The Seattle Times says Greg Davenport was trekking with friends through Nepal's Langtang National Park. One member of his group suffered a broken leg, but they are otherwise okay and journeying back to Katmandu.
