Bad night for the King

Maybe the one thing Seattle baseball fans have been able to count on this year is that every five days “King” Felix Hernandez would take the mound and blow away the opponents. But Monday’s Mariners game against the Yankees was very un-King like – a 7-2 loss in which Felix gave up all the Yanks’ runs. Didn’t help, says Seattle Times columnist Larry Stone, that the winning pitcher was Michael Pineda, the former Mariner traded away for a failed catcher. Ugh.
