In Clint Dempsey's home field debut, the Sounders beat Portland before the second biggest crowd in Major League Soccer history. 67,385 fans were on hand at CenturyLink Field to roar their approval when Eddie Johnson scored the game's winning (and only) goal — on national TV no less. But even cooler was the mind-bendingly gigantic banner that The Emerald City Supporters unfurled with larger-than-life likenesses of Johnson, Ozzie Alonzo, Brad Evans and Michael Gspurning.
