A dad cattle prods an older man for dating his young daughter. Sounds like a mediocre episode of some CBS sitcom (or a great episode of Married With Children), but one Bellingham father did just that last month. Vincent Price Jones, who is now in police custody, allegedly snuck into the apartment where his 25 year old daughter's 38 year old boyfriend was sleeping, woke him up, and proceeded to shock the not-so-young lad with an electric cattle prod. Jones then allegedly grabbed a knife from the table, slashed it in the air and told the boyfriend if he called the police Jones would hurt him. For some visual detail, Jones is 6-foot-4 and 230 pounds, just in case the cattle-prod and knife-wielding weren't intimidating enough.
The boyfriend reported the incident but police were unable to find Jones until he was seen in a diner May 5th. So next time you're forced to eat dinner with your significant other's parents, remember, sure their silent judgement may be demoralizing, but at least they're not shocking you with a cattle prod.
