Plagued by those pesky mattress dwellers? Don't get mad. Get even. Researchers at Canada's Simon Fraser University, after eight long years of study, say they've perfected a system to bait and trap the nighttime pests. Biologist Regine Gries says the new trap emits pheromones, a kind of perfume that just drives those bloodsucking parasites wild — and right into the trap. Once the bedbugs enter the trap they don't exit. It's all very Roach Motel. And if the system works Gries and her husband collaborator Gerhard will have saved many a good night's sleep. The traps should be available for purchase next year. Can you say stocking stuffer?
