            <p>With the acquisition of former slugger Yankee Robinson Cano, the Mariners added much needed pop to the batting order. But Cano always said he couldn't do it alone. "The No. 1 priority was to try to find a middle-of-the-lineup hitter,” GM Jack Zduriencik <a href="http://www.thenewstribune.com/2015/04/05/3724352_mariners-preview-nelson-cruz-brings.html?rh=1&ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">told The Tacoma News Tribune</a>. “Someone who would bat behind Cano, and someone who would be a force.” So the Ms wooed Nelson Cruz, Major League Baseball's 2014 homerun king (with 40).
