            <p>Seattle Mayor Ed Murray appeared on CBS Evening News Wednesday night where he joined mayors from East Orange, N.J., Gary, Indiana and Miami in a discussion about race relations in America. In response to CBS anchor Scott Pelley’s question about “why a perfectly law abiding and reasonable African-American man feels a chill when he encounters a white police officer,” Murray said it’s too easy to blame cops. “I actually think it’s a fault of systems and leaders who are not addressing issues and who are not sending a clear message about what is acceptable, what you can and you can't do out there." — M.B.</p>
