Watch: Lawmakers are divided over what would be best for the economy and job creation.

The state Legislature is considering proposals to raise the minimum wage in Washington to $12 as well as other bills to allow a lower minimum wage in some cases. The House Labor & Workforce Development Committee voted Wednesday 5-4 to recommend an  increase in the minimum wage. But the measure faces strong opposition in the state Senate.
