Your Last Meal is a James Beard Award finalist for best podcast hosted by national Edward R. Murrow award-winning reporter Rachel Belle. Each episode, Belle asks a celebrity (Greta Gerwig, Jewel, Margaret Cho, John Waters, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Kyle MacLachlan, Bill Nye, Maria Sharapova, etc,) what they would choose to eat for their last meal. Then she consults experts from around the world to uncover the history, science and culture of these dishes — from the designer who crafted Lady Gaga’s infamous meat dress to the ice-cream scientists at Ben & Jerry’s.
Have you ever heard a commonly held belief or a fast-developing worldview and asked: Is that idea right? Or just good on paper? Each week, host Jerusalem Demsas and a guest take a closer look at the facts and research that challenge the popular narratives of the day, to better understand why we believe what we believe.
Mike Pesca has established an 11-year connection to his audience as host of The Gist. For 30 minutes each day, Pesca challenges himself and his audience, in a responsibly provocative style, and gets beyond the rigidity and dogma. The Gist is surprising, reasonable and willing to critique the left, the right, either party or any idea.

If you’re looking for hype, fake outrage, and groupthink, kindly keep moving. Our mission at What a Day is simple: to be your guide to what truly matters each morning (and the fun stuff you might have missed) in just 20 minutes. Host Jane Coaston brings you in-depth reporting and substantive analysis on the big stories shaping today and the creeping trends shaping tomorrow — and when she doesn’t know the answers, she asks someone even smarter to fill us all in. Radical, right?
