Nick Licata

Co-Founder, Local Progress

Nick Licata, a Seattle City Council member for 18 years, authored legislation establishing paid sick leave and the $15 minimum wage for all employees in the city. He was the founding Board Chair of Local Progress, a national network of over 1,000 urban elected officials. He wrote Becoming a Citizen Activist, and his emailed column, "Citizenship Politics", has over 10,000 subscribers.
