Will Stone is a virtual guest at Crosscut Festival 2022. He is reporter and editor for the NPR science desk and also contributes to Kaiser Health News. Before joining NPR, he worked for public radio stations in Connecticut, Nevada, Arizona and Washington state. He's based in Seattle. His field reporting has focused on breaking news, health care and medicine, legal fights over civil rights, energy policy and the environment. At this year's festival, he'll moderate a conversation with Dr. Vin Gupta and Cassie Sauer, President and CEO, Washington State Hospital Association. They'll talk about the American health care system and what the pandemic taught us about its most complicated underlying issues.
