            <p>A federal indictment charges 14 officials of FIFA, soccer's international governing body, with racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering. Two of those charged, Eugenio Figueredo and Jeffrey Webb, are acting vice presidents, reports <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/28/sports/soccer/fifa-officials-arrested-on-corruption-charges-blatter-isnt-among-them.html?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">The New York Times</a>. “These individuals and organizations engaged in bribery to decide who would televise games, where the games would be held, and who would run the organization overseeing organized soccer worldwide,” said U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch. Ominously for FIFA, Kelly Curry, the acting U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York District Kelly Curry, said, "This is the beginning of our effort, not the end."</p>
