Residents of Roosevelt in Klickitat County — all of them — had to evacuate in the face of a fast-moving grass fire, but they are being allowed back home this afternoon, Associated Press reports. Authorities say that the fire has burned a number of structures — including several barns — but it hasn't destroyed any homes yet. The Columbia River town's 300 residents are still under orders to be ready to leave on short notice.
