German jet disaster in Alps: Recorder found. Students among the passengers.

The Airbus A320, operated by a low-budget Lufthansa partner, went down on Tuesday in the south of France en route from Barcelona to Düsseldorf. The 144 passengers and six crew members aboard are feared dead. Read more in The New York Times. There's also a blog on the The Guardian's web site: Investigators have the black box.
