Inside the fight over the federal budget are thrusts at the heart of environmental protection nationally.

Hidden within the budget battle raging in Washington D.C. are proposals to permanently stop the EPA from curbing greenhouse gas emissions. Another proposal would cut the Environmental Protection Agency's budget by a third. Environmentalists call it an unprecedented attack. They say the country’s bedrock environmental protections are a moving target. Green Acre Radio checks in with the Center for Biological Diversity, Climate Solutions, and the Sierra Club.
