Washingtonians have less than a month left to enroll in a qualified health plan through the Washington Health Benefit Exchange via wahealthplanfinder.org. Those who enroll by Jan. 23 will be covered as of Feb. 1, and those who wait until the Jan. 31 deadline will be covered as of March 1.
More than 50,000 Washington residents have already signed up for new coverage, and the majority of new enrollees have been people ages 26-34. As of Tuesday, total enrollees were up almost 50 percent from last year, according to the Health Benefit Exchange.
In addition to online resources, free help via phone is available to all residents who have not yet signed up for coverage. Toll-free customer support at 1-855-923-4633 is open every Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
