In the recent movie “Wild,” based on Portland writer Cheryl Strayed’s 1,100-mile hike along the Pacific Coast Trail, Reese Witherspoon raised some eyebrows among hikers in the audience when, playing Strayed, she threw her boot down a ravine in a fit of pique. Now, reports The Oregonian, a Camas, Wash., hiker named Chris Kesting, reports finding that discarded boot. Kesting said he recognized the spot in the movie where the scene took place, so he went looking for the boot and there it was.
