Crosscut has an amazing crew of dedicated, talented and passionate interns who are essential to keeping things humming around here. As frequent Crosscut readers (nudge, nudge), we wanted to be sure you knew

Amy Augustine has blown us away with her savvy news sense and attention to detail in the office. And she does it all while balancing life with a two-year-old. She obviously has more energy than we do.
Alyssa Campbell knows urban planning like the back of her hand, and keeps us all sane with her calm, measured style.

Editorial assistant David Kroman is a newshound with a talent for narrative, who can find the intrigue in the most mundane of city proceedings. Did we mention his last job was in a Russian orphanage?

Cody Olsen may as well have been born with a video camera in his hand. His counsel on all things digital and his quiet, patient diligence keep the wheels turning here at 105 S. Main.

Editorial assistant Cambria Roth dominates our social media feeds (in a good way) with her quick wit and friendly demeanor. She's also got an uncanny nose for news about homelessness and social justice.
We're constantly blown away by all the hard work Crosscut's interns put in behind the scenes, frequently going above and beyond to put on events and keep all of you up to date on Northwest news. We can't thank them enough for all of their help.
And we know we're not alone. Across the city, a legion of interns is toiling away, propping up the local economy. You can learn more about a few of them right here.
That's why we're declaring today, February 18, 2015, Intern Appreciation Day.
