            <p>“Hi, Stephanie? Hi, this is Brack. Obama. Your president.” The president took some time on Sunday to call “unsuspecting moms,” as the <em>Washington Post</em> puts it, to wish them a Happy Mother’s Day. A <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/posttv/c/video/50da03ce-f748-11e4-a47c-e56f4db884ed?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">video of some of the exchanges</a> catches the surprise and even disbelief from the women on the other end of the line. It reminds Troll of that scene in the movie “The American President” when an environmental lobbyist played by Annette Bening gets a call from the president, Michael Douglas, and thinks it’s a put-on by a friend. Good stuff, on screen and in the <em>Post</em> video.</p>
