            <p>Dylann Storm Roof, the 21-year-old from Lexington, South Carolina was taken into custody on Thursday. Roof is suspected of gunning down nine parishioners Wednesday night at Charleston's historic <a href="http://www.emanuelamechurch.org/index.php?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church</a>. Witnesses say he sat for almost an hour at a prayer meeting before opening fire. Rev. Clementa C. Pinckney, church pastor and state senator, is one of the three men and six women known dead. <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/19/us/charleston-church-shooting.html?_r=0&ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">According to <em>The New York Times</em></a>, the FBI, the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for South Carolina have opened a hate crime investigation.</p>
