2008 was a rough year for America. The "Great Recession" officially hit, sending home prices — and the fates of many home owners — into the ground. By 2010, national unemployment had risen to 10 percent. In Seattle, like everywhere else in the country, not everyone was affected equally.

A recent report by the United Black Clergy and the Washington Community Action Network detailed the number of foreclosures in Seattle by ZIP code between 2008-2012. The city's losses ranged from just one foreclosure in the 98141 ZIP code (Seattle's central business district) to 1,377 in 98198 (the Des Moines neighborhood). In total, 16,515 Seattleites suffered foreclosures. See the full list here.
