Republicans react coolly to a proposal to raise $200 million for schools.

Gov. Jay Inslee spelled out his ideas Tuesday for an added $200 million in education spending to catch up with court mandates for improving public schools in Washington. And he suggested that closing seven tax breaks would be the way to raise the added money. But Republicans in the Legislature are dubious, at best.
