SpaceX, a relatively new space company, may be preparing to open an office in Seattle, according to GeekWire. The company's jobs web page shows they are seeking an office manager for Seattle, although they haven’t yet announced plans for an office here. The company’s founder, Elon Musk (of Tesla Motors CEO and PayPal fame), has reportedly been busy recruiting top-level Microsoft staffers as well. This comes after SpaceX won significant parts of a contract to send U.S. astronauts to space. The company says its mission is to reduce the cost of space transportation and ultimately allow people to live on other planets. — T.W.
