San Francisco-based TransitScreen and Seattle's Department of Transportation (SDOT) unveiled the city’s first transit big screen today. Located in the Seattle Municipal Tower on 5th Avenue, the large-scale monitor will display real-time information not just on buses, already available in a few spopts, but also light-rail, bike- and car-sharing services. And there's more to come. TransitScreen and SDOT plan to install more screens around town, so Seattleites can easily pick the best way to get around. (One time-saving travel tip: Don’t even bother looking for a downtown Car2Go late in the afternoon commute.) — T.W.
