Occasionally hackers aren't in it for the money. NPR says that hacktivists calling themselves The Impact Team are targeting dating site Ashley Madison. The site, which caters to married or "attached" clients, has been gearing up for a possible IPO, so the threat of millions of users' data being exposed is a bit of a setback. Interestingly, the hackers seem disgruntled about two things: Ashley Madison's failure to properly protect its customers' information, and the "cheating dirtbags who deserve no such discretion." The Impact Team appears poised to release more data daily until Ashley Madison shuts down its services.
