A Coeur d'Alene pastor shot after a Sunday church service is expected to recover despite being shot up to six times, Associated Press reports. Police are searching for a former Marine, Kyle Andrew Odom, 30, who had been seen inside Altar Church during the Sunday worship.

Rev. Tim Remington, the wounded pastor, was shot outside the church, a day after he led a prayer at a rally for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz. Officials say they don't have a motive for the shooting. Another pastor at the church said Remington runs a faith-based recovery program for those with substance-abuse problems and had been threatened a number of times by those he tries to help. The Washington Post reports that Remington and his wife originally started a street ministry in southern California.
