The Oregonian can hardly contain its glee: Marcus Mariota, the former University of Oregon star, played spectacularly in his first NFL game, a victory for his Tennessee Titans over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The paper reports that his four touchdown passes are the most ever by a rookie in a half of his first game (the TDs came in the first half). And only the great Fran Tarkenton has ever thrown for more yards in his first game. Bow down to Oregon.
