It was icy this morning at Spokane International Airport: At 6 a.m. a United Airlines 737 slid off the runaway, prompting a nearly-three hour halt to operations while personnel ensured safe braking conditions.

No injuries were reported, but inconvenience abounded for the plane’s passengers and other travelers, according to the Spokesman-Review. The flight, headed to Denver and then Dallas, was delayed. Passengers and crew members were rescheduled to leave at 1:45 this afternoon. A Southwest flight set to arrive in Spokane from Idaho was sent back to Boise.
