            <p>The labor union Service Employees International Healthcare 775NW will pay over $39,000 after a lawsuit over violations of the state’s campaign finance disclosure laws, according to a<a href="http://www.atg.wa.gov/news/news-releases/seiu-pay-more-39000-after-ag-lawsuit-over-campaign-finance-reporting-deficiencies?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org"> press release </a>from the office of state Attorney General Bob Ferguson.</p><p>The attorney general's office <a href="http://atg.wa.gov/news/news-releases/ag-files-campaign-finance-complaint-against-seiu-775?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">filed a complaint</a> in September claiming <a href="http://seiu775.org/about-us-2/?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">SEIU 775,</a> which represents health care workers in Washington and Montana, failed to report in-kind contributions and cash contributions totaling $1.39 million made to the SEIU 775 PAC from 2010-2015. This judgment brings the case to a close. The AG's investigation began after it received a complain from the <a href="http://www.myfreedomfoundation.com/?ref=dev.cascadepbs.org">Freedom Foundation</a>, which says it works to "reverse the stranglehold public-sector unions have on our government." Some of SEIU's workers are covered by a contract with the state of Washington.</p>
