
Gov. Jay Inslee, friend to labor, beneficiary of labor support, now finds himself on the outs because of a disagreement about Boeing. Inslee was scheduled to be the headline speaker at the Washington State Labor Council’s annual convention on Thursday. But he has been “disinvited,” reports The Seattle Times, because labor leaders are peeved that he supported an $8.7 billion tax break for Boeing in this year’s budget. Said an Inslee spokesman: The governor has “a lot of respect” for the Labor Council.
