A new Seattle-based tech startup hopes to change the way music fans view live performances. Lively, which exists on a mobile and software platform, lets concertgoers purchase recordings of live shows they have attended almost immediately after the concert has ended. Fans can fully immerse themselves in the live music experience without the hassle of recording the show on their own. According to the Puget Sound Business Journal, the app gives bands a new way to market themselves on social media while still turning a profit from their live performances. Bands get 70 percent of the sales revenue from each concert download. A Lively team will head to the South by Southwest festival in Austin next week to record more than 100 shows. — M.C.
