            <p><em>Updated at 4:05 p.m.</em> Seattle City Council today voted 9-0 to impose limits on the number of ridesharing cars that can operate in the city for at least one year. Under new rules approved by the council Monday, each ridesharing company operating within city limits will be allowed up to 150 drivers on the road at any one time. The vote followed a lengthy discussion of the app-based services and whether they should be regulated as taxi and town car services.
