You may be seeing pre-order forms popping up on Amazon for a new book titled “The Most Dangerous Woman in America.” The author is Seattle City Council member Kshama Sawant and its publication date is set for Sept. 1, 2015, right after the August primary, where she will battle for one of Seattle's nine Council member seats. You’ll have to shell out $22.75 for a hardcover or $14.82 for the Kindle edition — just a few pennies less than the $15-an-hour minimum wage for which Sawant has campaigned relentlessly, as Seattlepi.com pointed out.The book is a collaboration with ex-Stranger writer and blogger (Horseass.com) David Goldstein, a defender and advocate of the Democratic Party. The contents of the book are a mystery, but there are ideas for what it could be about. Perhaps an inside account of her 2013 council campaign as a Socialist Alternative not expecting to win. Or could it address the Publicola insinuation that Sawant was living off a husband from whom she was long estranged? We’ll have to wait to find out. — C.R.
