The University of Washington has an ambitious new goal, according to GeekWire. Vikram Jandhyala, the school’s new Vice Provost, wants to bake innovation painto the education system by focusing students from all departments on solutions to pressing issues. In so doing, Jandhyala aims to upend the complaint common among college grads that what they learn in school doesn’t apply in the real world — of work. The new vice provo is preparing the UW to turn out students who think like entrepreneurs. — T.W.
