In fact, he is fighting the state on that matter.The Coumbian's hunt for Benton's business experience began when two Clark County commissioners hired the deputy majority leader — with no advance public notice or vetting and despite his lack of any ecology training — for the environmental services division post that pays $100,000 annually. Instead, the two commissioners cited Sen. Benton's significant managerial expertise.
