Two years after a bloody hostage crisis in Algeria, the U.S. has killed the militant leader of the 2013 invasion, reports The New York Times. The Defense Department confirmed that the Algerian terrorist, Mokhtar Belmokhtar, was the target of an airstrike in Libya early Sunday. No immediate word on how many others were killed in the U.S. strike.
