Today ( Monday) the Seattle City Council will choose a replacement for former councilmember Sally Clark. The eight finalists for the temp job — the selectee will keep the seat warm until the November elections — made their cases on Friday before the full Council. The public doesn't get a say in this decision, but Crosscut is conducting its own (certifiably unscientific) straw poll. Right now, candidate Shelley Secrest enjoys a comfortable lead over second placer Noel Frame. But there's still time for you to tip the scales. So brush up on the candidates' qualifications here. Watch their presentations before the council here. Then cast your vote!
