The windstorm that blasted through the region on Saturday knocked out power to about 200,000 customers, closed the 520 Bridge and injured at least three people, including a 2-year-old boy in Seattle’s University District, who suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries. The lights are back on thanks to Puget Sound Energy and Seattle City Light, who scrambled to restore power. And just in time for this reliably wet and windy month, King County has a new app to alert people of real-time flooding info.Speaking of storms and apps, the one we really want would feature a live-stream of the weed-eating Wallingford goats camped out under the I-5 bridge. Mostly because they are cute and funny, but also to alert their neighbors when storms blow down their fencing, as they did this weekend, forcing quick repairs. Wallyhood reported from the scene Saturday when the goats' corral came down. (No reported goat injuries.) — J.C.
